[00:00:00] 1, 2, 3, 4.
Hey, what's up everybody? Gene Ty, back at you with another episode of the All Access Podcast from Dent Repair. Now welcome to episode 52. Uh, this is our second episode of the New Year, I think 51. Yeah. 'cause 51 was goals right after the new year, so 52. Welcome to show two of 2026. I am excited to be here.
It is rolling up to MTE real fast. Uh, and man, I can't wait for that. That's one of my favorite work weeks of the year and dipping out for a vacation after that. So really looking forward to getting away and making that happen. Today's episode is titled, your work is Great, but nobody knows who you are.
Well, [00:01:00] I know just a few episodes ago I was really on you all about social media and how I see too many people putting too much effort into social media and likely not enough back into their own website, into content or into, uh, platforms that they own, right? Real estate that they own.
You've gotta be out there on video, right? You should be creating that video, it should end up back on your website. But what I keep seeing and, and honest to goodness, I've been preaching this stuff for years. Uh, in fact, I think I just canceled the domain name, uh, inside of GoDaddy. Uh, but maybe 10 years ago, 20 16, 20 17, um, maybe it was 2017.
'cause Keith was the one that really pushed me, uh, into video. Uh, I started the PDR video course. And it was a, I don't know, a two hour class on [00:02:00] how to get yourself this person in front of the camera, talking to your clients how to do it, what uh, tools and equipment to use, uh, things have evolved. Like this tiny little micro microphone is better than anything I had back in the day.
Uh, and it's bluetoothing to my sweet little webcam, right? It's gotten so much easier, but. 10 years later, 10, 9, 10 years after I started really preaching the like, you need to get out in front of your customers on video. I still see, in fact I just watched, uh, a video before I came downstairs of a, uh, gentleman struggling to get some hail work.
He's trying to put himself out there and he shared a video and it's a great repair. Uh, and he is got time lapse and like it, you know, it's kind of interesting to watch. He doesn't say his name doesn't even hardly look at the camera. Um, he's out there and there's no talking. It's just music the whole time.[00:03:00]
Well, I don't know that many of your customers are gonna sit down very long and watch a video of you fixing dents, uh, with just music. Oh, excuse me. I should have grabbed a coffee before I came down to, uh, to do this. Um. I see some technicians that I know listen to this show that are doing some amazing work, that share a ton of videos, that share a ton of photos.
If I didn't know who they were and what they looked like, I would've no idea who the person behind the repair is. You've got to get yourself out there on camera. There's no excuse not to, right? At least people are making content, which is good, right? You've got. Lemme pop it off here, right? You've got a great 4K video studio in your pocket all the time, right?
Get a little tripod, set it up. Record it. Either way, shoot your videos. Uh, even the mic handheld, if you're close to like a selfie video isn't too [00:04:00] bad. But here's, get yourself a microphone. Um, um,
I understand that not everybody is comfortable standing in front of a camera and talking. It took me a long time to learn, to be able to sit down and talk to a camera. Um, in fact, I was just watching Jean and z Sean's new podcast and Jean was talking and he is like, I don't know if I could just sit there and talk to a camera for, you know, 30 minutes to 60 minutes by myself.
And I'm like, well, I think I do that all the time when we don't have a guest. But I've worked long and hard at being able to do it. I can remember. Maybe even before we moved into this house. So we moved in here in 2011. Nah, it must've all been in this house. So we moved in here in 2011. Right? So shortly after that, trying to figure out how to do video because you could see that it was coming.
I was watching Mike Toledo's stuff, [00:05:00] uh, on YouTube, um, sort of before video released. Got into Facebook. Man, I'm getting. Showing my age, getting old. Uh, but you used to be able to share a YouTube video to Facebook. Man, I got to go today. Used to be able to share that right to Facebook and it would play. Now, of course, right?
Facebook wants in the video game. Everybody wants in the video game, so it's everywhere. But I would literally take a whiteboard, right? You know, like, this is my whiteboard. I would take my whiteboard and I would write out my talking points. Not necessarily a script. I'm still not a big script guy. Right, but like I would write out my talking points and I would take this whiteboard and set it behind my camera, and then back up far enough away that if I were looking at my notes right, which would be just above the camera, I was far enough away that you couldn't tell I was looking at the camera and I was actually reading my notes or following my talking points to make sure that I got it all right.
And. [00:06:00] Struggled and struggled and struggled. Um, if you go to the Dent River now YouTube channel and go way back, I made these mistakes a long time ago. Um, I've got one video that's still on my website that needs to redone talking to myself as much as all of you. Uh, that is just like metal, you know, metal music, guitar, rock.
Uh, playing over me, time-lapse, fixing, uh, a dent on a fender on like an orange sonic or aveo or whatever the little Chevy car was back in the day. That was it. That was the whole video. Like I said, still on my website needs to be updated and replaced, but it's out there. But you can go way back on my channel or if you want to see me really be awkward trying to talk and learn how to be animated and smile while I'm talking and engage.
Uh, this goes back to my coaching days with Keith. So this would be 2016 ish, right? Early 16 [00:07:00] maybe. Uh, where the premise, and really this is a good premise, I should probably revisit it, was to go to your dealership and pick a model. So I think I was at my Volkswagen store, uh, so I probably grabbed like a 2016 Jetta.
And grabbed my phone, oh Lord. And a selfie. I even bought a selfie stick, right? So I could hold my camera out, hold my phone out sideways this way. And do my walk around. I'm like, Hey, what's up? This is Gene with Dent Repair now, and we're gonna do some walk around videos and show you what, uh, are, you know, some difficult parts to work on this car.
And then we would proceed. We, I would proceed to walk around the car and talk about like. Really, they're all about the same, right? Like the front of the hood is double or triple braced. Uh, you know, and those cars then think it's all steel. But if it was aluminum, like, oh, this is an aluminum hood. Hey, it's got laminated glass up here on the doors is tough.[00:08:00]
Quarter panels in front of the gas door, right? Like, and do a walk around of each make or each model, each model year. And then in theory, like paintless dent repair, walk around on those cars. Becomes good YouTube content, put it on your website, write an article about it becomes great long form. SEO content.
Uh, I don't do those, but I should. And if you were really trying to kill it, maybe you should too. Go back and look at those videos and see just how awkward. I was right as like, and I still try to work on this craft today. I think I say, um, and, ah, too much. I would like to get smoother and flow better through this.
I'm constantly trying to get better. I just need you, I just want you to get on camera, get your face on camera. Um. Go back and look at Jack Bucknell stuff like some of his early stuff, he was just as awkward as anybody else. Now [00:09:00] he will grab his phone and go live and woo right to the world. It's all three reps.
And here's another shocker. None of us, nobody, except for maybe some radio DJs, like how we sound. When we hear our own voice, when I'm going back to edit this podcast and upload it to YouTube and I've gotta go through it and it's like, Hey, what's up everybody? Hey, what's up everybody? In fact, Liv uh, will be over occasionally while I'm doing this with Mac, and she'll hear me come in and she just rolls her eyes because all week at work, she's listening to my voice talk on videos.
None of us really like it, but newsflash. It's what you sound like and it's how the whole entire world hears you. So it doesn't matter what you think, it's what the whole world hears anyways, so just talk about it. Now.[00:10:00]
I'm gonna give you like a stepping stone here. If you're not comfortable going face to face with a camera and staring into the lens and talking, go Bryce Kelly style. Right. You might not be able to fix dents like him. In fact, most of us can't. Uh, but I promise all of us could make videos like Bryce does.
Hardly ever do you see Bryce stare into the camera and talk? Right. It's almost always one of his amazing repairs, which is kind of a hook anyways. Like you see it and you're like, there's no way they fixed that, and then you're in, and then he essentially just has. A bunch of different angles and cuts. You know, it could be his.
Dang on it, man. What the heck? It could be his, you know, RayBan Meadows and he is recording. He might have his phone set up. I know at least back in the day, uh, he used to do a lot with, you know, just the cam quarter set up recording and catching different angles. And then once it's all done and put together, he just does a [00:11:00] voiceover.
So unless you're Bryce Kelly. I don't think that that's quite as good as being face-to-face on the camera. But if you're not comfortable talking directly to the camera, you certainly can teach or learn how to edit that together or pay somebody to edit that together. And then you just talk about how to do it.
So a couple easy ways to make a voiceover if you need to do it. Uh, if you're editing like on your phone and you're using cap cut, you can do a. Uh, whatchamacallit, uh, voiceover right in there. If you don't have microphones, you can get into a quiet area and sort of cup your phone and your hand like this.
Don't talk directly into the microphone because you'll get puffs and hisses, but like this, just get nice and close in a close area. Hey, what's up guys? This is Gene with Dent Repair. Now we're back with another great repair for you. This, you know, [00:12:00] 2016 Volkswagen Jetta came in. And, uh, you know, a horse kick the fender, blah, blah, blah.
Walk through, talk through your whole repair. I mean, you can do it just that simple. If you want slightly better audio, uh, you can use your AirPods If you've got a mic, uh, or if you've got AirPods, I think you can set it up to record. That way you can always go old school, right? I always keep my wired earbuds around just as a backup with these.
That little microphone, you just kind of take it and hold it just away from your mouth and talk into it. Um, if you're doing it in an app like in Cap Cut or like, we use Da Vinci Resolve, if you've got an iPhone, you can use iMovie and I'm sure, I know there are tons of other ways out there that you can record right into your video if you are working with a video editor and you need to get it out.
Uh, I'm sure Android has it because they're so much better than an iPhone. [00:13:00] Um, right. Like right on the iPhone, we have a voice memos app. So if your editor sends you over a video, in fact, I've got like a, a long repair coming out, a teaser I'll talk about in a second. Uh, where Liv has done the editing, if I wanted to, I could just put it on my computer and sort of press play and it record.
And just start talking about what we're doing on this repair. Hey, so today we've got a Lexus RX three 50 in somebody actually threw a two by four at this panel or at this a pillar. Uh, hit the pillar, put a nasty crease through the body line, and you can see it's actually smashed the windshield out. We wanted to see what we can do to try to save this for the customer.
So, right. It's just that easy. And then you can send your editor that clip. Right, and they will put the audio over the video and make all the magic happen. At least that way. Then your customers are getting to see you, right? Because you're setting your camera up and they can see your body and see your face and see you [00:14:00] working, and then they can hear your voice, right?
This really goes back to, um, sales 1 0 1, I guess we would call it. People will only buy from somebody. That they know they like and they trust. Right? If you are missing any of those three things, making a sale, getting somebody to hire you is going to be very difficult, right? An uphill battle. Actually, video will let them feel like they know you.
Hopefully you can let your personality come through. And they will begin to like you and then through your results, right, through repeated, uh, results of repairs, uh, multiple repairs, maybe taking that educational approach, they're going to get to see you doing over and over and over again. These great repairs, they're gonna start to feel like they trust you.
It is [00:15:00] unbelievable how cool it is when you like walk out of the back or step outta your vehicle and they get to see you and they're like. Oh my God, you're here. Uh, you're gonna fix my car. I watched all your videos. I got to see this. One of my favorite story. I've got two, I've got one of my favorite stories from back in the day and one that just happened the other day.
That is sort of on another talking point here. So pre-shop, 100% mobile. I was fixing a wrangler for a dude, and it was like a, I mean, like a nice, it was the dent we all want, right? Easy to fix. Great access on steel. No laminated glass. Uh, and really those Wrangler panels were super flat. Like it was just, it was just lined up like, we'll take these all day.
So I meet the dude in a Home Depot parking lot, so I roll up, right? I see him, you know, texting him back and forth, uh, and I see his Jeep. How come [00:16:00] I'm so sorry for these yawns? I don't what the heck is going on. Um. I'm too relaxed. I need to go back to work. Instead of hanging out at home on a snowy cold Sunday, I hop out of the truck and the dude is literally beside himself.
Oh my gosh. Really? You? And I'm like, yeah, dude. What? He's like, man, I've watched all, I've watched every single one of your videos. You are gonna fix my truck. You're the one who's here to fix my Jeep. And I'm like, uh, yeah, dude. I'm the only one. Like, I think at the time we had Louie, but he was only wholesale.
We wouldn't send him out on retail. I'm like, I'm the only guy. I didn't say this right, but I'm like, no, I'm the only guy that comes out. But if you're stoked that you got me after watching my videos, all the better. I could have told this guy anything, right? He was 100% sold on me before we did anything. I, I don't think I could have done anything wrong.[00:17:00]
Like he knew without a doubt that Gene, the dent guy from Dent Repair now just hopped outta his truck in a parking lot and he's gonna fix my Jeep. Like, dude, was it like he knew me, he liked me and he trusted me. In fact, I've got another story. Right. While we're, while we're at the power of video still mobile, uh, at the back in the day, at the time, this particular job, um.
Was my highest, my largest sale on a single panel. Non hail, right? So not like a roof panel with hail that needed replaced, but like it was a deer hood On our quarter panel. Uh, I think this dude's name is Damon. Damon or Darren. It starts with a d. It's been a long time. You can find the video somewhere. It was a white five series, quarter panel.
So pre Jennifer, like I like the phone still comes just to me. And, uh, it's like seven o'clock in the morning. I'm not a morning person [00:18:00] sleeping with a phone next to my bed, and I hear
right, the phone's buzzing on my nightstand. I look over and I'm like, I don't know that number. And it's only seven. I put it back down, try to go to sleep.
Uh, like called right back a little, little too early to just be a spam call. So I'm like. Whew. Try to sound awake. Hello? Yeah. Dent repair now. This is Gene. Gene. My name's Darren and you gotta save my car. I've watched all your videos and I was going to taking my kids to school or whatever it was. And this deer, I was at a stop sign.
This deer ran right into the quarter panel of my car and my car's ruined. But I've watched your videos. I know you can save this for me. I know you can fix it, dude. I don't even know if I can fix it. I haven't even seen it yet. You said a deer like smashed into your quarter panel. That's a bad day. I don't [00:19:00] know.
But he knew. He watched my videos. He saw me fixing damage like his, again, it didn't matter what I said, as long as I said I could fix that car, dude was all in. Right? So we show up at the house, write the estimate, and I mean, it was big, I think.
High twos pushing three, something like that, 2,700 to three grand on our quarter back in the day. That was a gigantic win for me. It'd still be a great win today, like, don't get me wrong, but I mean, it was like a gigantic win. It was like Matt, it's video with like $40,000 quarter panel replacement. 10 years ago, I might as well have been in the same league for me.
Like, oh my God, you're gonna pay me that. I've done whole hail cards for that and you're gonna pay me that to fix the quarter panel. Uh, in fact, I was so nervous, right? Like he, [00:20:00] his, he left the car at home, he took his wife's car to work. I was there in the afternoon riding my estimate, and he walks in and he's like, so how much do you think?
And I've got it all diagrammed out, marked up on the quarter panel. And I'm like, ah man, it's gonna be between two and three. And he's like, ah, that's what I figured. And he walked in the house and then panic sets in for me because I'm like, does he realize that I meant two to 3000 and not two to 300? Like because this dude was so in that we never talked about pricing.
We never talked about anything. He just needs me to come save his car. So I was like a little bit of a cold sweat. Like, what did I get myself into? Does he understand what's coming? Uh, he did thank goodness. Like, he's like, oh, I figured that's what it would be. You know, it was gonna be like this much to put a quarter panel on it.
Anyways, anyways, he made the claim. We fixed the car, I made the video. I screwed up the, uh, color, the [00:21:00] white balance, like the color sucks on it. If you can go find the old, uh, BMW, uh, quarter panel repair video, like you can see it. Um. Those people were sold because I, because I put my face on video. You, you, I'm talking to you.
And if you're not watching this on YouTube, I'm pointing right into the camera. Need to get your face on camera, even if you're not a talking head like this, right to the camera. Set it back, get video of you doing the repairs and get at a minimum. Get your voice on top of these videos. Now I want to challenge you to go even a little bit further, and this is like one of my goals for the year is to be less polished on my videos.
Be less, I don't wanna say robotic, I don't think I'm robotic, but like back in the day, if you [00:22:00] really watch a bunch of my videos, they will all be like, Hey, what's up guys? It's Gene with Dent Repair. Now today we're gonna show you this, blah, blah, blah. Like it was. Almost canned. And I did that for editing and like just trying to make content simple, but it doesn't come off and show my personality.
I am really for 2026 trying to, and you guys will get more of my personality in here because we have fun and we do this every week and um, like I just pretend I'm talking to you anyways. I wanna let more of who Jean is come out, right? Like be it. Uh, having fun, like if you didn't see my unboxing, A SMR video for Keith's new Micro Tips from Black Plague.
Uh, I know it's on, I think it's on all three platforms, but it's certainly on Facebook and Instagram. Um, for Dent Repair. Now go watch the A SMR video. I'm really surprised. As much fun as we had that and as many people [00:23:00] have reached out to me about that video. Like my view count kind of sucks on it. Like I really thought we would've thousands, if not tens of thousands of views need to work on the uh, hooks I think and like pulling people in and making them watch longer.
But regardless, it was a fun video. It's what I like to do. It was like a reaction to Keith with Black Plague and, and PDR College always tells dad jokes. He has like the cheesy, funny stuff, like dad joke stuff. I love that shit. His Instagram for Bullseye. They have like a paper cutout of a Silverado that you'll see come in and like crash into a truck that's in the shop to make the dent with sound effects.
It's cheesy, it's fun. I enjoy that kind of humor. I, my, me and my daughter dad joke back and forth all the time. I love it. Melissa just rolls her eyes like, ah, I can't believe it. So I made that video to have fun to put it out there. [00:24:00] Was it directly to customers? No more to my dent technician crowd than to my customer crowd.
But if my customer or potential customer starts scrolling through our Instagram or through our TikTok or through our Facebook and they're watching our videos and they're seeing it and they see us having fun, that's good. I don't want them to come in thinking I'm some sort of stuffy old crab ass, right?
Like I want that fun to pull through. I think we've made some reels for these. I know it's more of a YouTube video, but I've started a new little series I call Truck Talk, um, where like no regular scheduled, no nothing. I've got one to do, but I need to go on a ride, but in the truck with the GoPro to, to shoot the video, but like just sharing wisdom or thoughts or, or something that's sort of come over me.
I'm just putting it out there and sharing it. Next one is gonna be on crisis, right? Like that's been the theme as of [00:25:00] late. I've heard it a bunch of times. My next truck talk will be on crisis, but I haven't shot it yet. But go check out. I think there's three episodes, three copies, whatever, three somethings of truck.
Talk out there, go check 'em out. Lemme know what you think. Two days ago, just Thursday. It is three days ago. Anyways, just Thursday. Um, Shannon comes back into the shop to grab me. Uh, she's a little gun shy about looking at and, and estimating and writing white cars, uh, because it's so easy to miss damage, right?
It all just washes out. So she gets me, Hey, can you come out and look at this car, make sure I'm not missing anything, make sure I get my size right. And it was just a nice chop. And a, not the Taos, Tiguan, the Tiguan, and a Tiguan door. Also side note, we had two Volkswagens in this week. Has their metal gone to shit like [00:26:00] garbage?
I had a TAUs take me to school on a fender, and then this door that we sold took Dave to school on the door, right? And he's like, dude, what's up with this metal? Anyway, side note, let me know if the Volkswagen metal has gone to garbage, because it was always really good. So. I go out and, uh, this lady, Barb, uh, she left us a five star review.
She went onto our Facebook and left us a review. She took a little selfie, like pointing to her car, smiling. Uh, in fact, Shannon said she almost like bar, the customer was teared up, uh, looking at the repair. She was so happy. But I go out to sell the job to help Shannon sell the job, and she's like, oh my gosh.
I watched all your videos. I found you guys. I liked your reviews. Right? Get reviews. That's good. And I went and watched all your videos and I'm like, oh, cool. She's like, I watched all of 'em. She's like, and you know what? I really liked these one. She's like, there was this one you were driving in your truck and you were just talking.
You never even talked [00:27:00] about cars. It wasn't about cars. It was about wisdom. She's like, I'm 71 years old. You're probably blah blah, like, and I just think it's amazing that you're out there and just sharing that wisdom.
A what? That's fantastic. Like I literally just put the videos out to share some wisdom, right? To have fun to show and some more of my personality and my thoughts and, and what makes me, me, I, I put, we put three of 'em up. I, they think all three are published. They're all edited and uploaded. If three haven't dropped yet, two have dropped, and another one's coming, but again.
It's a little reaffirmation, reaffirm, reaffirmation affirmation. Anyways, it's a little evidence that I'm right, that putting yourself out there and that some of these other content creators and influencers are right, like be you and put you out there is working already. So I'm not even talking about [00:28:00] dents.
It has, it's on my dent repair now channel, and I think I'm wearing a dent repair now hoodie. But that is it. I don't even think I have a call to action. Of like, Hey, come little looks your dent. It's just a video of me talking about life, but it's a video of me, of this face talking about life on camera and sharing it to the world.
You need to get yourself on camera, even if it's not the talking head and get it done, like let me know. Some of the content creators, like, uh, Stephan, who has been on the podcast right? Gives great advice in his episode. Stephan, what are your thoughts on this? Dude? Drop a comment somewhere, wherever this video ends up.
Like what's your number one trick for getting on camera? Just do it. I think you've said that before. It's like, just do it. All right. Lemme check my show notes because I don't want [00:29:00] to miss this. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, so, right. You don't need to be a content creator, you just need to be on camera, period. Like, just be on camera.
I don't need you to be doing like, uh, cruise influencer videos. I only say that because we're going on a cruise and my feed is full of Instagram cruise influencers, like, I don't need you to document your whole life. If you want to, great, but you don't need to. You need to show you fixing cars and talking about cars and get out there, right?
That is what it's all about. So some of you sent me your goals after last week's show. Now I want you to tag dent Repair now at. Because you gotta be following it, right? I know if you're listening to this, you're following at Dent Repair Now, everywhere, whatever platform you're [00:30:00] gonna put your video on, you know, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok, make sure you're following me in all of those places this week.
No excuses, no bullshit. I want you to make a video. I'll write out your description and I want you to tag at Dent Repair now in your video. So I can see it, and I will come and leave you a comment and maybe even give you a little feedback if you want. Right? Get it done this week. There's no reason not to, unless you're not fixing any cars.
But even at that, I just told you I threw a GoPro on my dashboard and talked about life, right? Get out there, get your face on camera. Make a video that is not just a repair before and after. Like at a minimum, get a time lapse going and get your voice on it. I want to hear it. I need to hear it. So what else is going on in the PDR world?[00:31:00]
It's almost MTE. We mentioned that. We'll talk about what's going on there. Paul Cordon,
if you haven't heard or seen, I don't know how you would find my show and not and miss, miss out on Paul. Paul is a good friend. He has helped shape PDR. If it weren't for Paul, I wouldn't have ever priced that quarter panel on that five series for that customer that woke me up at seven in the morning the way I did if it wasn't for Paul.
Paul has helped so many people in this industry. Paul has helped this industry as a whole. Well, Paul was just recently diagnosed with, uh, lymphoma. Uh, it's been shared in a bunch of places. Um, from what I've heard, it's gonna be a fight, but it should be treatable. But [00:32:00] it is going to crush him. Uh, he's not gonna be able to work, I don't think he's worked for a month.
Uh, there is a GoFund Me style, um, fundraiser out there for him. If you find it in your hearts, if you can find it in your wallet, go give something to Paul to help them, you know, with this financial burden. And if you can't, please pray for him. Uh, and if you don't pray, send him some good vibes. Like anything positive to Paul, please do it.
Right. He's, he's helped so many of us. He's helped so many, he's helped the industry as a whole, right? Like in Mobile Tech rx, the price guide. Is the pk. That PK is Paul Cordon. Go help that dude out. Um, if you can't find the GoFundMe or you can't find the story, hit me up. I will try to, uh, find it and put it in show notes and links somewhere.
But go check it out. Like Paul, I doubt you're gonna listen [00:33:00] to this. Dude. You got some other more important stuff going on. Uh, but you've got us for a lot of years. We got you. You fight, will we, the industry will help get you through this brother. Stay strong. Man. That was a little harder than I thought.
So on a brighter note, MTE is coming up in just a few weeks. It is the le you will listen to this on the 12th. So in 16 days from when this episode drops, uh, I will be at. Uh, the beginner's day on Wednesday the 28th, talking all about glue pool, how to make it happen, how to make it work for you. 16 days.
Damn. I got a lot of shit to get done before then. Uh. Thursday Education Day, I am taking the the, or putting the Kiko shirt back on for a talk. Uh, I'm super excited for that. We are gonna talk about not only [00:34:00] unlocking your repairability, but staying unlocked throughout your repair. Uh, we show you off all the Kiko tools, get some new stuff dropping.
You definitely wanna check that out. Uh, and I think we may be doing a live video for them before them. So just anyways, keep an eye out. It's coming and that talk is gonna be great. And then of course, uh, the shop owners round table at 3:00 PM on Thursday with myself, Matt Moore, Andy and Amanda Patrick and Doug Hillious.
Um, sadly, uh, Ryan Shutt had to pull out for some personal reasons. Uh, she. I hope you feel better, brother. Uh, anyways, helping share knowledge with you all about, or like anything you can think of really on the struggles, uh, the wins, how to grow, why to do what you gotta do, uh, to have a business, right? Like come see and get that perspective.
Uh, it has been. Uh, like a standing room only [00:35:00] the last two years that we did it, I expect nothing less. Uh, this time. Uh, we do have a shorter window though, so we are gonna be dropping as much knowledge as fast as possible there, right? Like go get it. And then our, we will be doing a live episode from the show floor Friday morning to open up the show from Radio Row, uh, swing by say hi.
Uh, in fact, that may even be. The, uh, the premise of the show is I'm gonna talk and open it up to listeners to pop in, throw your headset on, get your face on camera for a minute, uh, and just talk shop for a minute. So we'll see. Uh, that's still to work out. I gotta clear that with the crew there. MTE 2026 is going to be an awesome show.
And our buddy Jean. And Zha, who you may not know from Germany, uh, are, [00:36:00] have dropped a new podcast. They have the PDR UNIVERSE podcast. They just dropped their first show episode one on Friday. Um, it is available on Jean's, YouTube channel, uh, and I think, I think it said Apple Podcasts. But go check out the, uh, dang gum.
Go check out the, uh. Their first show, uh, get a little bit of a backstory on Zha. Who is he? How did him and Jean meet, uh, and his journey. Uh, Zha actually made an appearance on here from the Glue Pool competition. Uh, it was the last piece of that show, uh, is where Zha popped in for, I don't know, 10 or 15 minutes, uh, to do the wrap up with me and Danny.
Uh, it was super cool. Zha and Jean, congrats on the new show. Uh uh, I'm already a listener. Gave you a thumbs up. Jean, I've been subscribed forever and thank you so much for the kind words that you guys put out there. So go [00:37:00] check that out. And that is a wrap that, yeah, go get on video. Send me your freaking video.
I wanna see it. You gotta do it like there's just, what's your excuse? I don't like how they sound. Nobody likes how they sound. Oh, I like how we look on camera. Too bad. It's how the whole world sees you just put the camera on and shoot, go shoot wide. If you're worried about being up close, right, put the camera further away.
Let it record and do your voiceover after the fact. It's nice and easy. There's really no excuse in 2026 to not be on camera talking to your customers, teaching and giving them, uh, the information that they need to know. So. Yeah, that is it. Uh, episode 52. Pretty cool that, like, that's the second episode of the year.
I know it's gonna get screwed up after, you know, 59. Um, but if I can remember, I might be able to remember how many episodes we do because [00:38:00] I want to do an episode, uh, every week, this year as one of my goals for the year. So we are on track. Two weeks in, we'll see how the rest of it goes. Guys, thanks so much.
As always, follow us at Dent Repair now everywhere we want to interact on social media. I will see you online in your new video, uh, and I'll see you next week on the show here, guys. Thanks for watching. Until next time.
